The toddler's father told police that he was warming up his car and moving it to the side of their Southern Boulevard driveway around 7 a.m. when he realized he struck his daughter, Chief Thomas Miller said.
Chatham EMS and police administered first aid to the girl, Miller said. She was taken to Morristown Medical Center, where Lt. Chris Slayton said she was listed in serious condition.
The incident is being investigated by Chatham Township police with assistance from the Morris County Sheriff’s Office CSI Unit.
